Dr. Goran Dimić received the Diploma in electrical engineering from the University of Belgrade, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, U.S.A. in 1999, 2001, and 2004, respectively. He joined Mihajlo Pupin Institute in Belgrade in 2005. He has participated in several research projects (national and FP7) focused on wireless communications: wireless sensor networks (energy efficiency, cross-layer design, optimization), user selection and scheduling in MIMO multi-user systems, queuing analysis of medium access control protocols, and W-CDMA receivers for wireless communications. He also participated in development of radio networks, communication devices and signal analysis software. He is leading a nationally funded research and technological development project, and is participating in COST IC1004 action “Cooperative Radio Communications for Green Smart Environments.” He is a member of the IEEE (Student 1997, Member 2005). He has published papers in, and served as a reviewer for various IEEE journals and IEEE conferences. He is a recipient of the IEEE Signal Processing Society Best Paper Award for 2007. He has served as an Expert Evaluator in FP7

Research Interests:

His research interests include applications of digital signal processing in wireless communications and networking. In particular, he is interested in advances at PHY and MAC layer in wireless communications, and energy efficiency and performance in wireless sensor networks
